Mijollo International is an architectural office recently formed by Milton Lloyd and Matthew Cumming. We bring over 40 years of combined industry experience, from four different countries and a wide range of building types, to a new progressive practice. The office has substantial work under construction and is currently designing and documenting complex and leading residential projects.

Milton left a Senior Associate Partner position at a leading architectural office in Sydney, where he had been working for over 13 years. Matthew was also a Senior Associate at the same office in Sydney for seven years and then Partner in their branch office in San Diego USA for four years. The majority of their experience has been in the design and construction of medium density, mixed residential and retail/commercial uses. Overseas work includes master-planning work in Singapore, Manila Philippines, Guangzhou China and San Diego California. These partners have assembled a team of highly skilled and motivated staff to assist their creative and documentation tasks. Since its inception, the office has received a number of large scale commissions at both master-planning/design stage and documentation/construction stages. Mijollo International is registered in Australia with the aaca and is an Associate of the Green Building Council of Australia. Membership of the aaca requires continuing professional development, which is important to ensure a high standard of practices.

Our designs evolve from a rigorous analysis of opportunities which are assessed in regards to functionality and market appeal. “Good design sells”, but it must also be buildable and environmentally sustainable. This is our art of architecture, to blend the functional, environmental and economic requirements with the beauty of spaces. We have a passion for architecture; for the concept, the process and its realisation.
